Authorities said they need the public’s help finding a man who robbed two people at gunpoint as they left church.
The man approached the victims from behind as they left Crossroads United Methodist Church in Conyers about 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Rockdale County sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Cobb said.
The man had a bolt-action rifle and demanded the victims’ wallets, according to the sheriff’s office. He then ran behind the church, where surveillance cameras captured him driving away in a 1997-2000 model Lexus ES or LS with a sunroof, Cobb said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 770-278-8154.
