Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer will donate $100,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank during a halftime presentation Sunday. The money was raised from Budenholzer’s Assists for Hunger program and a fundraiser dinner held recently.

With the Assists for Hunger program, Budenholzer pledged to donate $15 for every Hawks assist during the regular season with a minimum contribution of $25,000. To date, the Hawks have 1,858 assists for a total of $27,870.

The recent dinner featured several Hawks players as servers including Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore, Kris Humphries, Mike Muscala, Ryan Kelly, Taurean Prince and DeAndre Bembry.

The Food Bank distributes nearly 70 million pounds of food to more than 600 non-profit partner agencies across 29 metro Atlanta and north Georgia counties.
