Police are trying to determine who shot a College Park mother of two small children.

Jazzy Kuykendall, 25, was arguing with her brother Marquavious Kuykendall when she was shot in the back of the head on Feb. 8 at a house on Godby Road, College Park police said.

She died in hospice care a week later, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office said.

Marquavious Kuykendall, 22, was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, aggravated battery and possession of marijuana less than one ounce, according to Fulton County Jail records

However, he was not charged with murder.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses who were inside the home during the shooting to determine who pulled the trigger, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“I think somebody out there knows more and I wish they would come forward,” said Lisa Crawford, the siblings’ mother.

She told Channel 2 she does not believe her son shot his own sister.

He “loved his sister,” she said.

Crawford is now taking care of Jazzy Kuykendall’s children.

"I promised my daughter I would do my best to raise them,” she said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact College Park police.
